People seem to dislike the nicknames all beginning with "Guest". No matter what, we're keeping the guest @names as "@guest1234", with the number being unique, but I'm mostly wondering about the nicknames.
I randomized the guest avatar colors a few months ago, to help make it easier to tell guests apart from one another, but perhaps it's time to give the names a random effect, too.
I know Xbox gives new users a format like [Word|Word|Numbers]; mine is PluralLilly, followed by some numbers. And obviously xat gives the baby names, which I don't really care for. Other services like Twitter give you names based off of your email, and email services can give you suggestions based off your real name, but, since Minnit doesn't get any information about you like that, that's no good here.
The fact is, nobody wants to see everyone named the same thing. So, that'll definitely be changing, the only question is "how?"
My thinking was to give it an adjective, followed by a synonym for (Newbie/Chatter/User/Person). So we'd have:
Honestly though, the more I look at these, the less I like them. So if you have any ideas of what I could do instead, do let me know. This would be a very easy change on my end, so the sky's the limit.
